yes. personal. moving from inner city, kansas city to the nothwoods changed my life forever. never could i go back to carrying a dagger for protection, to inner city poverty. i am still poor, but the effect that has is different here.went from tuff(self defence, 4'9" woman who wieghs 80 pounds) street hoodlum to a responsible citizen and parent. the effect the move had on my childrens lives is immeasurable. they went from the only white kid on the bus, tormented daily to normal childhoods. i had no money or plans for when i got here, i sold all my appliances, and used the money for gas.

The night I found out that thoughts have energy, and that your belief system shapes your life. That was a pretty seminal moment in my life so far, though I do feel that others will happen as my life progresses.

Yes, they keep happening, dammit! Birth, school, marriage, various jobs, kids ... many I've forgotten ... you name it, each event has been a fork in the road and I shall never know what lay down the turning I didn't take.

the day a man went into a primary school in dunblane,scotland and shot dead the reception age children.. ilive 500 miles from there. but it made me realise how lucky i was to have my children...even when thy are playing up, at least i have them here with me.....
