probably braxton hicks contractions...just preparing you for the real thing. Time them...if they are regular you may be in preterm labor.

Could be, but my guess is they are just Braxton Hicks contractions. Sometimes you can have "real" contractions for weeks before you deliver, though.

My advice would be to drink a lot of water today (and every day actually), because if you get dehydrated the contractions will start. Good luck.

You are possibly in labor. When you are pregnant you no longer have menstrual cramps because you no longer menstruate. If your contractions are lasting longer and getting closer together or you begin spotting blood or losing amniotic fluid ( water breaks) you need to get to the hospital and prepare for the birth of your little one.

Go to L&D at the hospital, those menstrual cramp feeling are contractions.

Make note that period cramps and contractions are just your uterus contracting. When a woman has her period with cramping it is her uterus contracting to get rid of old blood. When you are in labor your uterus contracts to open your cervix so you can deliver the baby.

Braxton hicks contraction or actual labor. My labor felt like that. I never had any pain up till the moment they knocked me out, I had a c-sect for placenta previa, totally unrelated.

Contractions! If you're 36wks pregnant, my guess is that the baby is ready to make his or her first appearance. When I was pregnant with my second child I got what I thought was cramps, but they turned out to be contractions. 12 hours later he was here. Good luck!!

They are pre labor contrations. You can have them sometimes a month before your due even. They have a name I can't recall the fisrt half of the name something like Brackston Hicks contractions.

there's a good chance your uterus is practicing for the upcoming big day. If the cramping is low (just above the pubic bone) it could be labor? If walking around doesn't alleviate the cramping, again...it could be labor. Let's hope it's just the practice thing!

Probably braxton hicks. If they are regular and start to last longer then most likely labor. Good luck!

He will probably tell you to wait until your water breaks to go to the hospital unless the "pains" actually become contractions....you will know when they are contractions!

It could be contractions. Just relax and take it easy if it gets worse go to the hospital.
