winners of 10 of 13 games now, climbing back towards .500, and the hitters are red hot . you guys were foolish to count them out so early in the season. you don't win 14 division title in a row without knowing how to handle adversity. GO BRAVES!!

Woo Hoo! They win 4 in a row, and they're still 12 behind. If the Mets only play .500 ball their next 50 games, the Braves will have to play .667 ball, 37 wins, just to catch up. It's POSSIBLE, but, really, how likely is it? With the pitching staff they have now?

As for adversity, out of 14 Division Titles, they converted 4 into World Series appearances. Of the 4, they won ONCE. Out of 14 chances, they won ONCE. It appears that they collapse under pressure, not thrive.

I am a die-hard Mets fan, but you can never count out the Braves until it is over. Especially with Pedro's injury and Glavine slowing down (except for last start). However, the Braves just don't have the offensive firepower that the Mets have, so I think it will be the Mets winning a lot of high scoring games.

The Braves may have some decent hitters, but their pitching staff is very shaky. Key word 'very'. Outside of Smoltz I wouldn't feel too much confidence in the rest of the staff. I'm not a Mets fan, but I would say this is the year the Braves dynasty ends.

Hey, the great Braves run is over. They can win 20 in a row, but if the Mets keep doing their thing (5 home runs yesterday, including 2 grand slams in one inning), even 30 in a row won't help.

They are still 7 games under .500 and 12 games behind the Mets. That's a lot of ground to make up. With how they have played all year I think they might take 3rd place at best.

The Braves are 12 games out. They wont even make the playoffs, get over it.

It would take an historic collapse for the Braves to even come close to catching the Metropolitans.
