Researching information about middle class women in Ireland at the turn of the 19th century. Looking for information about the way they dressed, social interaction, rights, basically anything. Life for a woman in a sheep farm when parents owned the farm.

There was famine; most women had it difficult and worked long days with difficult conditions and tedious jobs. Many women tended the sheep or potatoes with a baby tied on their backs It led to an influx of Irish migrants in America.

You certainly won't look out of place in jeans and a t-shirt. Hoodies etc would be a good idea. I'm not sure what part of the states you're from so I'm not sure what sort of winter you're used to but over here you can expect it to be cold and wet. Between December and February temperatures often drop below freezing for the nights. Runners aka sneakers are fine as well.
