she is wheelchair bound. what self defence moves could i teach her that just require the use of her hands. she comes to about waist height so maybe she should focus all her strength on the groin area.

Don't even go there !

Best way is to teach her how to AVOID potentially dangerous situations.

She is at a huge disadvantage in a wheelchair due to reach, speed and reactions. Try to teach her to fight and she could end up in a bigger mess. Avoid confrontation and talk your way out of danger !

would someone really attack person in a wheel chair? wow, thats unbelievable . . . but being down low like that gives her the advantage, a hard punch to the groin and a can of pepper spray are her best bets.
