I was somewhat confused until I got caught up in the story. This is definitely one of those books that people should NOT peek at the ending unless they want to ruin the experience of reading this book.
Just know that there's a "What the hell?" chapter coming up near the end. I had to reread that chapter and then go back through various sections of Pi's adventures to see certain, ah, parallels.
One of those books that I envy people who are reading it for the first time.

Yes, I read it awhile ago and loved it. It is definitely a book that has stayed with me. I was intrigued and amazed at the creativity! I could never decide how I felt about the ending, but I liked that it made me think.

Yes, it is a really good book. It's not boring at all! It's about living one's life to the fullest. And it also shows that there's more to life than "dry, yeastless factuality." :-)

my sister has that book, but she has never read it though. i really want to, ....it's on my book list. see, i simply love hyenas, and i know that there is a hyena in it, but sadly, it gets eaten by that powerful tiger. is it realy a good boook, cuz i can't wait to get started!
