Most jobs that pay $60k/yr (5k/mo) will require a bachelors degree from an accredited college/university.

That is not to say that a 4-yr degree is going to guarantee a high paying job or that there aren't jobs that out there that pay well without one. College is great and for some careers it is absolutely necessary, however, you are doing yourself a disservice if you think it is the only way to get anywhere. There is a good book on the subject, 300 Best Jobs Without a Four-year Degree (see link). There is also an article about the top 20 paying jobs from this book at the second link; most of these jobs don't reach that $60k mark but come close and what you do should balance pay with your interest in doing the work.

If you are afforded the opportunity to go to a 4-yr program at a university then take it! Be wise in your selection of major, being sure to balance what you want to make ($) with what you want to do and what interests you. Even if your career takes you in a different direction than your degree, the presence of that degree on your resume holds great value to prospective employers (lack of a degree is often be the first criteria to eliminate candidates).

As for specific jobs and getting that job, research the position and company to which are applying. During an interview speak about the company and how you will be a benefit to them. Be polite, be professional and be yourself.

Lastly, I noticed that this question was posted in Business -> Singapore. I will point out that my info above referred to occupations at a US$ rate. I have been to Singapore for business and know that engineers there make less than engineers in the states when factoring dollar rates (US$ equivalent starting pay for Singapore engineer of $36k/yr (Singapore Dollar = 57k) compared to US engineers at $60k (SGD= 96k)). Most of the people I worked with either had a military background as their training and/or attended NUS (National University of Singapore). I'm not sure how this may apply to your situation but thought it was worth mentioning.

Good luck!

Hi! Well....you can earn even much more than 5K/month and sky the limit if you choose to. However, you must be willing to work hard and put in alot of effort on the initial part but you need not suffer thoruhgout your whole life. If you work hard enough, within between 3 to 5yrs you should be able to see the fruit of your labour and sit back and relax and yet still yield income. Well.....why not hear and see for yourself? It could be the best decision you ever made and you might thank yourself for choosing it. If you are game, email me at unending_bid@yahoo.com.sg for an appointment and I'll be happy to share more. You have nothing to lose afterall. Who knows? IYou could ended up digging a "gold-mine". Well, it's never a "get-rich-quick-scheme" though but it is certainly for someone who really and seriously wants it. The choice is yours and, YOU DECIDE!!!

There are plenty of jobs you can get earning 5k / mo. That equates to about 29.00/hr.

However, with no skills or experience, that won't happen, even if you're fresh out of college.

What you should be looking at is what job will you enjoy in thelong run, because making money isn't everything - job statisfaction witll keep you healthier and happier longer, even if you don't make as much.

If you can talk on the phone there are many people in sales. If you are going to make that kind of money you either need a serious skill or you got to go into sales. Many companies allow you to work right from home. This is not easy you must be motivated and you must work hard. If you call me 801-491-5071 I will get you hooked up where I work. I sell ads for at www.motorzoousa.com and I make over $5,000/mo

I see one of the answers is MLM. You need to ask yourself are you ready for it - do follow up with many friends, and keep following up with down lines.

I suggest you start this on the internet. There are two opportunities I would suggest.

Visit : http://freedom.vjms.net

Please contact me to get other - this other opportunity is limited to Singapore / Malaysia.
