As many of you know, Israel is being asked to show restraint in its war with Hezbollah. How do you show restraint in warfare. Isn't that like asking a boxer not to hit his opponent too hard because he's bigger and stronger than the other guy? That's ridiculous! I always thought the objective was to win. Geez......give me a break, will ya? And don't tell me that "restraint" should mean the avoidance of killing civilians when Hezbollah is purposely aiming THEIR rcokets at civilian targets inside Israeli territory. Also, why does everybody hate the Jews. All they're trying to do is live in peace in a part of the world that's known nothing but violence for centuries. And don't think for a minute that these people aren't out to destroy America as well!

Israel has nuclear weapons. Restraint is not using them.

Restraint is stupid… you either go to war or you don’t. This isn’t a game.

A game is boxing where you wear soft gloves.

Restraint is being asked by all countries that are afraid of oil prices going up. If this becomes an all out affair, many of those countries asking for restraint will be on Israel and America’s side.

The rest asking for restraint are those in favor or terrorism or fear it so much they side with bullies.

Hezbollah locates their rockets in neighborhoods of innocent people for the very reason of creating innocent deaths when they are attacked. This way they can get support of the ignorant in societies that do little more than watch images on TV.

Doesn't sound lilke you're asking a question. It sounds like you have all the answers you want.
"Everbody" does not hate the Jews, and it is a foolish mistake to equate the questioning of Israel's oppressive policies on the Palestinians, or overreaction in Lebanon, with "hate" or "anti-semitism". No country, religion, race, etc. is immune from critique by others because of their background. If Israelis hide behind such labels as an excuse to do whatever they want, they will not get the world's support.

Restraint is not nuking them. And not everybody hates the Jews. I admit to not being as informed as I should be about the history of the area, but aren't many of the Israeli cities sites of historical religious significance to many different religious faiths? Muslims build a temple, Christians build on top of it, Mosques-Temples-Churches....

Some peoples are just more adamant about getting back or preserving their religious culture. The Jews want to live in peace, but they also want to keep Muslims out of holy sites that were built on top of Muslim holy sites. That's a pretty good mix for centuries of strife.

I don't hate the Jews, but I hate Israel. I guess the issue is that Isreal indiscriminantly (sp) hits civilian target, and that is a form of terrorism. Hitting military targets in war is acceptable, but not generally civilian targets.

Whether Isreal 'proposefully' aims at civilian territory or not, I can assure you civilians will die in both countries. In a war civilians always suffer.

War cannot be equated to boxing. Boxing is a game, war is reality.

Wake up, war solves nothing.
