Not when the humidity is higher. When it gets humid, the air on your skin won't cool off with just a breeze. The best bet to save money if you have air is to leave the temperature about 78 degrees. This will keep the room or house comfortable and remove the humidity and will maximize the benefit of the ceiling fans if you choose to use them. Run the air all day at this temp even if you aren't home. It takes a long time to remove the heat from the walls and furniture and you actually waste electricity if you just have it on when you're home. Hope this helps.

I love all these answers. Your thermostat is at chest level, so if you set it at say 75, it will seek that temperature. If you turn on those ceiling fans and blow that hot air from the ceiling down to the thermostat and you what happens. Unless you are on a ladder, why not leave the hot air on the ceiling. If you are cool sitting in your recliner , why wouldn't you leave the hot air on the ceiling and just condition the air at your level? In the winter, yes run the fan and get use of that hot air. You are not cooling a computer lab, you are trying to cool you. This is a comfort process, if it makes you comfortable, then it is right.

The idea is that when you use the ceiling fan, you can set the A/C up a couple of degrees and the room will "feel" just as cool. It does work. So to save money, adjust your A/C temp.

The way I do it is when the temps are boarder line high I use us the fan no AC. When it starts to get really hot I turn the AC as high as I can go and still be comfortable. That way the fans should make enough of a difference to stay cool and keep your ele. bill down.

everyone seems to be guessing based on the comparative length of the kit in touch. in specific situations the respond will marvel you once you upload up a number of small vehicles. the only thank you to understand is to look on the tags on the machines and upload up the watts each use. verify the tag on the AC and notice what proportion watts it makes use of. Then verify the 4 followers and upload the watts jointly. learn the two. The extra watts used, the dearer it is to run them. bear in mind, your followers will run all the time. The AC will purely come on for a couple of minutes till it cools the domicile and then turn off till the domicile heats up back, so divide the watts used with the aid of the AC with the aid of the form of cases the AC comes on throughout an hour to get an precise image of what it value to runs the AC and what it value to run the followers.

Yes, it cuts down on my energy bill. Before the fans the bill was around $165.00 a month, after the fans it is around $125.00 a month.

Make sure the sitting is right for summer, it should tell in the instructions, I think its clock wise for summer, but check to make sure. They help with both heating and cooling.
