childrens size go from 6-14 then women from 8-18 and then plus sizes go from 20 to 30 something! I would say the dress you have is a large womans size, 8-10=small uk 12-14=medium uk 16-18 large uk 20+= x.large uk hope this helps.

take a look on online conversions, Germany do a size 30 which is the equivalent of a uk size 4 so I'm guessing it's a kids size probably age 9 or so. Sometimes theres a size convertor on ebay too, hope that helps abit.

30 is a womans size,usually childrens sizes go up to a 12-14 if the child is big.
Then the womans size start from maybe a 8 if your really thin and up to what ever size you are and depending where you shop.

With dresses (sized in inches) it tends to be the bust size.
A size 30 (rather than 30") is enormous!
