if your mixing c.ds then go for PIONEER cd dex there the best out there, you can get beginner , intermediate & pro models so you can match your budget to 1 of those,
if your mixing vinyl records then go for STANTON OR KAM maybe GEMINI aswell as these do awesome beginner dex, get DIRECT DRIVE DEX ONLY as the other types are truly crap.

MIXERS are personal choice really depending on what effects & extras you want. as different styles of music have different needs on the mixer, ive always had PIONEER or BEHRINGER as these are great value mixers.

SPEAKERS, ive had SONY as they do the job and very reliable.
SONY headphones are wicked too,
as you get more experienced & get some more cash then move onto the TECHNICS and more expensive equipment.
Goodluck & happy spinning.
look on www.htfr.com they got good stuff on there mate

anything made by Numark...... for decks....

2 x Mackie C300z is 300 watts per speaker @ 8 ohms.
- An ideal amp. would be a Numark Dimension 3 this will give 300 watts per side @ 8 ohms.

KEEP A WATCHFUL EYE ON E-BAY - CAN GET SOME GREAT BARGAINS ON THERE........

Need more than £800... our lot so far cost us around £5,000 that's not including CD's - which is an ongoing cost week by week. Good Luck..

Stanton C303 for the decks. Yamaha for the speakers. Behringer for the amp. any cheap mixer will do.

If it's quality speakers you're after. Bose 802's or E.V's
Great for kicking sound, and vocal frequency
Good Luck
Might be a bit more than you have though, but for future reference
