Why is our country conquering every nation? except europe,canada,russia,australia european nations? what is the point? for what?

In my opinion, the reason this is happening is because the people who "run" our country are greedy liars and their interests do not lie in the welfare of people in this country or any other. Their interests lie in getting hold of as much money and power as they possibly can for themselves and their buddies! If that is not completely obvious to anyone, they have their heads buried in the sand.

America has not taken over any countries. We have attempted to liberate countries, but there are no indications that we intend permanently occupy any nations. In our 2 recent military actions we have allowed the people of the countires in question to vote in new governments. Now while you can make a case that we are trying to foster or enforce democracy if you wish, we are not taking contries as a matter of conquest, or permenant occupation.

I never stop being amazed at the liberal mindset. Liberals consider themselves critical thinkers, and state that it is good to question. However, if you disagree with their position you are mindless or have your head in the sand. Anyone else see a double standard? BTW Jenni I have a hard time taking you seriously when you say that my views are racist then include Germans as an oppressed people. Let's not forget that one of the reasons we fought WWII was because Germany was trying to exterminate the Jews. I for one think that is pretty racist.

Bush is a great leader in this time of crisis. War on Iraq- Thumbs up. Yes Suddam Hussein did not have nuclear weapons but we can not take that chance. Suddam would probably was seek vengeance after the gulf war and drop a mushroom on us. USSR had nukes and when thay fell from power there weapons were spread out through the middle east. Iran has nukes. Afganistan had al-Qaeda. Now katrina is a different story. You can pass that off and blame it on Bush but we have been ib hurricanes in the past and people didnt evacuate. Okay it is all right to not like the goverment, but bush has done a good job

The US doesn't want to take over every country in the world. If it did, we would have done it by now. What we want is for other leaders to stop being dictators. To give their people the freedom to live.

When these words were penned it just didn't mean the colonists of the new world, it meant everyone in the world.

What does the US want, for all men and women to be free. To not have dictators run their life.

well, i'm glad you EXCLUDED 3/4 of the world from your statement...about the rest-

Iraq? We've helped them VOTE, draft a Constitution, elect a Parliament and PM, are currently training their army to take over the role WE are playing...how is that "taking over?"

India/Pakistan- we've been "juggling" our loyalty to 2 countries that DESPISE each other.

Israel- you think they're worried about OUR concerns right now?
We just helped foster a democracy in Lebanon and those crazy Jews are bombing the h3ll out of them? How's THAT make the US look good?

Central/South America- Have you listened to Hugo Chavez lately? He HATES us and spews venom at every opportunity. Hows that "taking them over?"

Mexico- when's the last time THEY listened to AMERICA's concerns? They have troops on the border to PROTECT illegal immigrants sneaking over here.

Malaysia- Predominantly Muslim nation that HATES us because of Israel...

What's that leave-Antarctica, The Artic cirlce, Greenland & Iceland?

I think you should review some of the countries taken over by RUSSIA, FRANCE, PORTUGAL, BELGIUM, ENGLAND and SPAIN...we've ALWAYS left our allies in better shape than we FOUND them...

Money and power. Political leaders are rich, they want to use the resources we provide to increase their wealth. When the country is reaching its peak in economy, it needs to take over other country to expand. Once its influence is over the whole world, it will begin to fall. Every government has work in the same way. Mogolian empire, British empire, when they control over a large area, their influence and power begins to weaken. Then the next big one will rise and begin a new cycle of domination.

I share in your worry in this seemingly American posture in the world; there are excesses here and there in the American foreign policies. However, if you objectively asses the governace of many nations,the inherent curruption,cheatings,killings,lies,
poverty, double standards,unwholesome fanaticism,etc.You could see the need for a revolution internal or external.Most often America comes in bc of strong economy which most friendly nations can't afford.I'm 'third world'

I don't like war,b/c I have a 21 yr old son,but I also believe we can not sit by an idly wait for someone to attack us. The war in the middle east is just another way to see that it is in the end times and we should get prepared for the Second Coming.

American's are in the same situation as German citizens in 1939. They don't really want to be involved in a war but they went along with it because it's the easiest option. Even hitler said it's lucky for him the majority of people are sheep.

America has never "taken over" a country. America has liberated several countries from dictators or other oppressive governments.
