Where can i get a good deal on a one way flight from Barbados to the US and what kind of price should i generally expect to pay for this? Also, the flights that I've seen so far often aren't direct and go via 1 or 2 other destinations. Whilst this isn't a problem, i'd rather not spend 10 hours in travelling time but that said, i'm looking for the best deal possible without compromising my travel time too much.

American Airlines is quite reasonable.

Or look on www.opodo.co.uk
I bought tickets to Kenya through Opodo and the price I got is what I paid. Don't go for any of these 'cheap flights' websites, they're a waste of time.

On the Opodo website it's about £252 from Bridgetown to New York but dunno where you want to go to...might be cheaper to another American Airport though. It's a 4 hour flight with no stops.

I agree with Marvinator...call a travel agent. Yes...I am a travel agent, so naturally I would say that. Seriously, that is the best way. Many factors come into play. What are the dates, what is your destination, one-way or round-trip. If you do call a travel agent, understand that they will try and probably find you the best deal. The airlines don't pay them very much (if anything) to book with a particular airline, so there is really no incentive to book you on a certain airline. I do ask that if you use an agent, please allow them to book it. The small commission that they do make is nothing compared to the wealth of information and savings you will receive. Travel agents will add great value to your trip. Good luck!

I'f you're looking on the Internet, you're only going to see the 'advertised' prices for flights. This is how the internet ticket search engines work.

However, Travel Agents have access to UNADVERTISED fares and specials that the internet search engines do not. In addition, many people don't realise that it costs you nothing to use a Travel Agent. The travel agent gets their payment from the airlines, not from you.

Call a Travel Agent.

Try some online agents which search hundreds of flights in seconds. Some at page below.
