I used to read those books when I was younger.
Just wanted to know if anyone else remembered them too.

Yes, I do. Written by coauthors Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. I enjoyed them very much... the first trilogy (Dragons of the seasons series), the Twins trilogy, the Tales, Heroes and several of the other titles.

I really enjoyed Weis and Hickman's Rose of the Prophet series.

No, Dragonlance was the series of books created by Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weiss. They detialed the adventures of such characters as Tanis Half-Elven, the twins Raistlin and Caramon Majere and Tasselhoff Burrfoot. Awesome series. They are still out today and I think have been adding on to it.

Yes, I do. They are making a movie based on the Dragonlance books. The woman who plays Xena Warrior princess will be in it.

Yep, read em all. They're still publishing new ones - mostly background and derivative material about the "classic" age. The New Age series (after the defeat of Chaos and the departure of the gods) is ok, but seems to be obsessed with destroying all the remaining characters / civilizations of the old age.

Yes, a series by Margeret Weiss and Tracey Hickman based on the Dungeons and Dragons role playing game. Poorly written, poorly published. But the fans of D&D loved them. I read most of them hoping they'd improve. My bad.

Yes, I've read some. The quality varied considerably, depending on the author. Inconsistent characterizations from one book to the next, that sort of thing. I don't recommend them for that reason but some selected editions were ok.

"Fireball, fireball... now how does that spell go again?"

If you can find it, there's a collection of stories by Hickman and Weis based on the world of Krynn. One of them is a novella called "Wanna Bet?" which features Caramon's three sons and probably the funniest description of a boat I've ever read.

The funny thing is, my husband and I are reading them now. We are on the second book. Kinda schmaltzy writing but good high fantasy adventure.
