Are liberals actually big spoiled brats who refuse to grow up and live in reality?

They seem to dearly love to holler that anyone who doesn't agree with their whining and foot-stamping must be a big ol' meanie who kicks puppies for fun.

In answer to a poster below, nah, man, I'm not a "conservative" as understood in the United States, but rather what might be called a conservative libertarian.

I'm a Conservative and some Liberals are childish so are some Conservatives. The vast majority of both sides are more towards the middle. I'm tired of the few making the many look like hate slinging name callers from both sides of these two ideologies. We need to find common goals because United We Stand and Divided We Fall. Meanwhile other countries laugh at us while we call each other names and the terrorist can truly say that they are winning by driving this wedge between and dividing we the people.

Maybe Liberals just don't agree with leaving in a reality of a dictator's leadership. Since this country has glorified and praised so much the meaning of Freedom by claiming that this Freedom is the reason for the Americans success because people here have been the only one in the world whom have actually been able to experienced its highest expression, It seems to be, at least for me, very easy to understand the why liberals different the republicans have kept and stickied to their values or better the real Americana's values more than republicans whom have adopted foreigner issues over nationals issues.
This administration cutted the money usually directed to help on the recover of climates disasters plus lied about have no knowledge about the tragic situation that New Orleans for example was about to experience, delaying, neglecting and not providing an effective help for their own people (American people) but this administration has proved been very well prepare and effective to fight even before September 11 at the war in Israel by providing them (Israelis) bullets, gums, and bombs used against its enemy's and after September 11, the administration empowered its efforts by sending their own people (most young) to fight in a War that wasn't initially their own war but others war for centuries, or maybe because most republicans are the rich ones whom usually don't fight at war or pretend been fought at war, as can be seem by the actual president's example about his presence at the Vietnam's war. Republicans are minorety when compared with the numbers of liberals sent to fight at war, those are values and good reasons to not support the insane attitude of some republicans.

Liberals are the counter weight to the conservatives. Without them, the conservatives would grind the workingman into dust and submission. Without the conservatives, the liberals would drain society of it's vibrancy and competitive nature into a welfare state. They are both needed. Their harsh debate sharpens the lens of understanding and leads to good ideas emerging and bad ideas eventually are dropped because they cannot stand up to the rigorous debate.

i think they are actually idealists that have lost touch with... what, reality? i tend toward the idealistic idea of what life can be or should be too. however, when i see a rapist set free, i don't get it. when i see a child abuser get just a few years instead of life behind bars, i don't get it. when a murderer gets to cop a plea, i don't get it. maybe i'm just clueless. i'm someone who believes the time should fit the crime, and not the plea bargain. don't even get me started on plea bargains. why are they allowed? they hurt innocent people, as well as help the guilty. innocent people are told to take them in case they are not believed, and guilty people take them so they get less time. what's happened to the law in our country, did lawyers get lazy, or greedy? the more people you shuffle through the courts, the more money you make? the more innocent people prosecutors can convince to cop a plea, the easier their job is, the more wins they have, so they can run politically on their prosecutions? law has become political, and that is very sad. law was supposed to be our recourse to unfair persecution.

They'd rather see someone starve to death than give up even a tiny bit of their precious, precious money. Most liberals seem to be rich people who can afford to contribute to their social programs, but who find ways to avoid taxes. Some even grew up poor, but now are wild eyed liberals like movie stars and singers.
