I suppose that all depends on how you define "real." Of course, arguably, the definitions of each of the words you used is ultimately at issue (as is grammar, etc.), but common sense must attach if any fair and reasonable consideration is to be given.
The philosophical construct you've provided is often cited as an example of absurdism applied to existentialism.
Logically, for this existence to be only imaginary, almost everyone would have to be sharing in a delusion that is both larger and more complex than their respective imaginary capacities. In other words, this existence can't be logically explained as a mass delusion.
That actually leaves 2 possibilities: either this existence is real, OR both this and any other existences in which we might participate are the imaginary constructs of a Superbeing, in Whose imagination we either (a) exist, (b) don't exist, or (c) both exist and don't exist.
If we accept the principle of the "razor" put forth by 14th-century English logician and Franciscan friar William of Ockham ("entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem," which translates to: "entities should not be multiplied beyond necessity"), the former is the less unlikely circumstance.
Ockham's Razor (also spelled "Occam's Razor) is often expressed in Latin as the "lex parsimoniae" ("law of succinctness"); unfortunately, it is generally misunderstood, misapplied and credited wrongly -- all of which conspire both to make it a nominally popular construct and to thwart appreciation for greater truth.
Karl Menger's "Law Against Miserliness" states, ""Entities must not be reduced to the point of inadequacy," which is commonly paraphrased, "It is vain to do with fewer what requires more."
Seeking to view each event in the universe as completely unique, subject to no laws but its own, Pataphysics (invented by Alfred Jarry) is the "science of imaginary solutions."
Crabtree's Bludgeon takes a somewhat more cynical view, stating "No set of mutually inconsistent observations can exist for which some human intellect cannot conceive a coherent explanation, however complicated."
Of all the foregoing philosophical constructs, the Bludgeon best accounts for everything we thus far "know" regarding the origin of this universe, the origin of this earth, the origin(s) of species, etc.

What is the definition of reality?
When can we say: "This object is real"?
Real .. in whose eyes?
Who can decide what is real and what is illusive?
Is what you see as real, seen as such by me?
How many realities are there?
The above questions all lead to one induction:
The reality of this materialistic world is relevant.
The reality of spiritual existence is unknown to us because we belong to the material world, and we shouldn't be dreaming of knowing it under our current laws of physics. Our realities are changeable, conditional, and misleading, because the tools we use in searching for reality are so changeable, conditional, and misleading. What I take for real today, may turn out to be illusion tomorrow - to the same senses and mind. Is THAT the reality we are seeking?
Our dilemma is obvious: If the only tool we have is a hammer, all our problems will look like nails.
Bottom line, what we see or know or comprehend in this material world is only WHAT CAN BE perceived BY OUR LIMITED TOOLS: the mind and the senses. Their REAL realities is unattainable by those tools.
Are there other tools? Could be. But so far, none is proved to exist at our level of existence. Maybe after our scientists have discovered some other laws in the universe beyond Einstein and the Quantum physics that we will resubmit your question and, maybe then, you will get a different answer.

It's as real as you imagine it to be. Reality has it's own "reality" so to speak. We never see it as it is bcoz we're continually interpreting sense sensations through our brain---labels, beliefs, etc. There is no denying we're here; things do happen. The world is real, it's just not what we think it is. In science they will tell you that nothing is solid. Every solid thing is just condensed energy so the world is most definitely what we perceive it to be..but.....in the stillness beyond thought what is real arises....and a clear seeing follows...& this is love/peace/bliss. sometimes it's possible to get glimpses of this but only when the mind quiets down.

well its not the complete truth....the life ur living is as real as u want it to be...it is wrong to say that its is not real and its is not in ur control....
but to understand the statement i have made u have to take the path of inner discovery...u have to answer the question who am i?
then shall u understand what it is reality...
this world is real and at the same time not real... thats its paradox... life is a paradox...
u are a paradox.... but paradox is something u cannot just figure it out intellectual it is an existential truth and u have to live it..u have to feel it...just thinking abou ti wont do ...
so i have actually made things kinda difficult for u... but that s how i got my answer as well... my master osho pushed me to the limits.... and i did find it for myself...a life beyond illusions....

To a certain extent, the world around you is "real". What you see is a mental picture that your mind creates in order to make sense of the sensory input coming in from out side.

can you pinpoint where exactly your consciousness is located?.....the mind knows no difference between memory and actual happenings.......life is certainly real but is only formed from the mosaic of people that manifest imaginations into reality.

reality can be challenged quite easily...
when you are sleeping...you dream...and when you are dreaming , that dream and nothing else is "real"....bcoz when you are dreaming you are cutoff from reality as you experience it when you are awake...
whatever happens in the dream is "real" at that point of time....
and when you are dreaming....the reality that you experience when you are awake is in a different dimension...more like a dream!
when you are dreaming...your dreams are reality....and reality as you perceive it now becomes a dream....
