What is your conception of brotherly love and how does it work?

I hear people of different cultures, income levels, religious orientation, etc. calling each other brother or sister.

We are all humans, that is what makes it work. That commonality alone should be enough to call our selves brother and sister, for we are all related somewhere down the line (whether you believe in religion or science, we came from the SAME place in the beginning).
