Without being flipant (because the easy solution is to get rid of all the humans), I would have to say when all of us humans decide to follow the golden rule; to treat others the way we would like to be treated.

I believe world peace is a fantasy, so I will answer keeping this in mind. Allow women to play a greater role in world affairs. No more limitations from religious laws or cultural rules. The world is not balanced with out an equal input from women in every aspect of life, from home to politics. As a woman I accept this fate in life because I know that it will take centuries for a great change. To say we've come a long way is true, but I will not see the peace we seek as a people nor will my daughter, until power is balanced between the sexes. It is the yin and the yang.

1) Ask the top 20 richest nations to fund the lowest 20 in education programs.
2) Top 20 farming nations supervise the lower 20 on farming and irrigation to feed themselves.
3) Pay the largest auto manufacturers bonuses and incentives to move away from fossil fuel through a world banking system sponsored by the U.N.
4) Make it economically attractive for nations to move their nuclear weapons programs to producing energy.
If every millionaire and billionaire on the planet donated 1% of their wealth for 1 year and every nation donated 1% of their defense budget for 3 fiscal years and create this Survival of Humanity account which would be chaired by the 5 perminent members of the U.N.,I believe the entire world will prosper or if we gave it a try we CAN'T lose. World peace is a nice dream, but it is only a dream. It is not going to happen as long as there are 2 or more people on earth.

read and study and do the plan at www.globalhappiness.org [not an org] - a lifetime's research, study and thought [free] - a practical, easy, capitalist, selfinterest, hardnosed, realistic plan - survival, peace, 100% get much greater happiness, and 99% of people get better pay - and everyone in the world already agrees it will work [proof]

Level the playing field. Peace will never happen when one bully country has thousands of fancy weapons and the other has sticks and stones.

It all starts with education.
And a bit of kindness too.
I believe that all hatred is fueled by ignorance. If we can educate each other about history and other people's cultures, then we are heading in the right direction.
