Which of these cars will last me the longest? Which is going to be the most costly to maintain? Which one is junk? Volvo S40, Mustang, Honda Accord, Mazda3(all new)?

Mustang, by far... I live only a few miles away from where they make them in Flat Rock, MI. Also that means most parts will be domestic. BUY AMERICAN!

Support the American Dollar. ( Anyone but the Honda)
In all actuality the Honda has proven to be a better car for the long haul. The Mazda is coming on strong. Volvo is likely the safest of the four. The Mustang is an American Icon.
All the foreign cars will be a bit more costly to maintain down the road. I truly do not believe there is a 'junk' car among them.

The Honda I think would last the longest(you can run a Honda forever)The Volvo would be the most expensive to maintain and the Mazda would be the "junk' one.The Ford Mustang is a classic and built here in the U.S. !!!

Honda or Mustang will be more dependable
My wife has a Volvo... POS (piece of sh*t) Its seven months old and has been in for repairs three times!
I've never been a Mazda fan....
I have a new Dodge Charger... I drive it more now than my Jag S type or my old Alpha Romeo Spider. The Charger is sweet!

Ford is coming along way with there cars. There engines and trannys are more reliable than ever before. Its your choice. Go for the one you think fits you. Personality.

honda - no engine problems
s40 - need a deep pocket
mustang - powerful american, no major problems, cheap maintenance
mazda 3 - good look & style, small interior

Which ever one you like the best. front wheel drives will cost you more than the rear wheel drives.
