By using the profit sharing basis, you'll get that the A holds 18%, B 43% and C 38%. If C's investment is 7,500, then A's investment is 3,600 and B's investment is 8,400.

A investment = (18% divided by 38%) x 7,500

B investment = (43% divided by 38%) x 7,500

just divide the return profit of 'c' to the investment of 'c' and using the answer as a co-efficient, u'll easily get an answer o ur prob.

so, here the co-efficient will be 3.333 & thus the investment of 'a' becomes approximately Rs. 3596 & that of 'b' is approx. Rs. 8392.

I hope it satisfies you.... If any other prob, plz feel free to contact me on manku_crispy@yahoo.co.in

I'm done with maths, if you want to ask something about biology, I'm almost finished with my neuro- and cardiology study. I know about the human anatomy a lot and what the functions are and so. Honestly, maths are not my strongest part. I really respect the people who are indeed intelligent enough for solving these math problems.

Manshu, it's obviously not so easy since some people have to use foul language to cover their ignorance.
First figure out the percentages earned:

Total Earned:
Amount(Rs)----- Percentage
A------1,080.00 ------ 18.46%
B-----2,520.00 ------ 43.08%
C-----2,250.00 ------ 38.46%
Total--5,850.00 ------ 100.00%

Now since C's investment is 38.46%:

38.46% X Investment = 7,500

Therefore Total Investment= 7,500/ 38.46%= 19,500.78

Thus:
A's Investmnet =18.46%*19,500.78 =3,600.14
B's Investmnet=43.08%*19,500.78 =8,400.34

(7500 / 2250) x 1080 = 3600 (A)
(7500 / 2250) x 2520 = 8400 (B)
