when you save a photo, it is your choice which extension to give it. so just make sure that you type the extension in yourself, and that the file type category beneath it is set to all files, so that it doesn't override your choice. just save the file again with the new extension. should work fine, I've done it many times and haven't needed to be in paint or any other particular software. I use Irfanview as my photo software - its a free download and gives me the control I need over storing my enormous number of photographs. I know professors and professional artists that use this software also, and highly recommend it.

Open the Bmp file, right click on the pic, select edit, go to file, then save as, then change the root to jpg.

open the photo in photoshop or even paint and choose save as. there you will be able to change the type of file from bmp to jpg.

You click save as and at the bottom of the save screen there is a drop down where you will choose jpg.

I dunno which ISP you use but on mine I'd send it to self as ___.bmp and when you open it it will be a jpg! Works all the time! I'm on aol, hotmail & yahoo BTW!

import the file in corel and just save it in jpeg format with the export command...

open it in paint, then go to save it and underneath the file name it will ask what format you want to save it as.
