I wish they'd go back to the 'happy ever after' endings. I feel so cheated when a movie has a sad ending. I don't watch a movie to see real life. I watch it to escape. There's enough sadness in the world so if I want to escape from that I want happy endings. I recall feeling so cheated at the ending of the movie City of Angels. What the heck...who would it have killed to have that movie end happy?
