I do not agree with others. Proactive do not work for everybody!! To combat acne you need special care both from inside and outside (as topical, local treatment)..Drink as much pure water as you can. Cut the dairy for a while, don't eat fat, chocolate, sweets, etc. As a topical solution best work the combination of Erythromicin (antibiotic) and Zink , like Zynerit, kills bacteria and smooths the skin..At the site www.homeremedies.com you can see lots of other tips and advices. Best of luck!!

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

Plenty of sleep, excercise, no stress, drink lots of liquids, no chocholate, candies, cakes, icecream, and drink lots of carrot, celery and beet juice every day. After a while you won't need any medicine. Just be healthy Get away from any types of artificial foods. No Sugar, highfructose corn syrup, white flour, saturated fat, or hydrogenated oil. Chips and french fries are awful for acne, so don't eat any amount at all!!!!!
You'll do great! If you want to use medicine, go ahead, but if you change your lifesyle, that would eventually in the long run be the healthiest and most lasting cure of all.

acne is caused by dirt and bacteria not food. do a search on accutane. it is prescribed by a dermatologist and is awesome stuff. you will never get acne again after taking this. It comes in pill form.
sometimes acne has to be taken care of from with inside especially the ones that are like cysts you know the infected looking ones. kind. oh and one more thing about the accutane you can only take it for six months.

if you can't do it over-the-counter, go see a dermatologist. i went and was prescribed Retin-A and Cleocin-T which really got rid of the breakouts. but it depends on the type of acne you have...
