Opinion Poll: How Many Years Do You Feel The Human Race Has Left Before Extinction?

Question

Be it by our own hand or by anothers, how long do you feel that the human race has left? Please give an estimate in years, followed by your reasons for this estimate. Thanks!

I think we have about 200 years left. The population is heading out of control. Some form of birth control needs to be implemented. One couple should only be allowed one child this should be law. This won't happen though and by the year 2206 the world population will have reached 8 billion people. Industry will have grown to provide jobs, consumables, and resourses for the extra people. In general people like their automobiles and their use will have doubled along with the worlds population. Rainforests will be nearly no existant and the air will be thick with carbon dioxide. In Britain the average day time temperature will be 40 degrees centigrade. With extremes up to 60 degrees people will move north to escape. This mass exodus will be hindered by lack of land caused by rising seas. Humanity will proberbly be cut adrift on gigantic ships in northern seas. These ships would slowly become mougues as the food and water ran out. Eventually the green house effect would run out of control. Clouds of carbon dioxide would reflect the suns rays back to earth and the earths temperature would soar. Vegetation would burn, seas would fizz and evaporate. Human beings, and animals would spontaniously combust and melt like candles. Average temperatures would rise to 100 degrees. They would then continue to rise 200, 300, 400 degrees. Everything will be dead, Earth will be dead. All that will remain is a planet not unlike Venus. From space it would appear a dirty brown colour not green, blue, or white as it does today.

I have often pondered this question.
I am amazed that with all the inflated egos, superstitions, ignorance and crazy people running around that we haven't destroyed ourselves yet!
There really must be a God!
The number of years we have left?
Well the first number that popped into my head was 3,080. I believe the number of years will be gauged by how long it takes us to get "it" right....maybe as little as 380!

God holds the perfect answer, which somehow I feel is connected to how long it will be before each individual the divine created finds its way back to its one origin and then there will be no need for a "Human Race".

500 years .. from wooden weapons that jesus had witness ... its now 2000 years ago ...

2000 years after the wooden weapons of jesus time .. comes the guide laser beams and stealth bombers of USA .. .. so the whole world becomes smaller .. easier to destroy .. so from 2006 , i think we still have 500 years ... to live

think about this .. when was TV become colored ? what was the size of TV .. now you can watch video using your Handheld PCs with full color and programmable ... it just talk 30 years from the time of bill gates .. he has 10 years old and tv was not colored .. Bill gates changed the world of TV into a small handhel PC ...

so the world and human race extinction depends on contant war ... nation to nation misunderstanding .. so since its very very variable .... human race may disappear within 2 weeks of world war ...

when war world 2 happened it took sevelral years to end .. maybe from 1920 to 1947 .. .. just like the TV it was long ... now ? if there is a world war ... it will just end up in 2 weeks ...

on how the human race trying to make the world smaller the more their wish become realistic ... and the more the fear becomes clearer for us ..

of course we dont want it to happen ...

We can not become extinct because the human race and earth and universe are all an illusion.
.The spirit part of us is the only real. My soul is where it is at! Your soul is where it is at!
..We were never born and will never die. We are one with God or the God of your understanding. We all create the illusion, a collective consciousness if you will. It is the only thing that makes sense.
...The thousands of religions all say they have what it takes to get to heaven, they have re-written the bible thousands of times to suit the philosophy's the make up. No meat on Friday, no work on Saturday, no work on Sunday, one wife or many, pray when you want or it is hard rule to pray 5 times a day, no dancing, no cussing, men to wear a beard or men to have no facial hair so they are not hiding who they are?
....I say how can any of these things be correct unless we are making it all up. No offense to any religion. Religion is what makes us pay attention to what creation is all about. Where do I come from and where will I go.

.Not to worry, we cannot not make it to heaven because in spirit we are all ready there. The earth is a collective creation by us to experience love on a physical basis. To seek out ways to enjoy our lives on earth and not get caught up in anyone else's scheme of how they think things should be.

I think in the end will be by the sun since God made light first.. It in turn would be the first to go and then it would take us....I figure if it is a million years old now then pretty soon it might blow out/up maybe with in what another 1000 years I can only hope that much more time..

the human race i think is just a centuary more at most.

the terrorists are hunting at crusial areas now..its not far that they will get their destroying hands on nukes..and then as nukes against nukes the end will start.

developed countries and totally backward countries has chance to survive after armaggedon..but just matter of chance.

dude more species of animals and insects are dying out. the polar bears are going to extinction,many fish have died out due to them not getting food. i don't know when the race will end but i know nature making new things to preserve the balance. you heard about the ant that kills anything by over massing it's oppenent and going into their stomachs in africa?

i not sure its kinda hard to estimate this but im pretty sure the human race is NOT going to last very long though because people don't know how to listen and don't care about our earth and how they treat it or because we might even kill ourselves
