Being a person who has traveled much of the world and seen many aspects of society in other countries, yes we are very free in our wonderful country.

By virtue of election, we can appoint or remove people to lead us. In our court system, you are considered innocent until proven guilty. And we have the ability to excel or recede into our life as much as we wish. These values in and of themselves are significant of only a very few countries in this world, and yet we have the so much more that we just take this way of life for granted in most cases.

We cant help it, its basic human nature to do so. When you have ice cream everyday as much as you wish, sooner or later it doesn’t seem so appealing anymore, now does it. Same here, we are a great nation that offers so much to each of us. Consider, were not thing of putting up a fence to keep people in this country. I would suspect nine of ten people in most other countries would jump at a chance to become an American. Yet some of us born to this value, neglect to see the great things we have, because they have never seen the other side first hand.

Not only are we free, but we are lucky!

America is truly the land of the free. But America is allowing other countries to be free as well is the big question.

we were until the twisting of the words in the constitution, our forefathers never expected fools to make stupid amendments to the constitution only those amendments that were based on for the people and by the people, not just the people that were rich and could buy the votes from the ones who needed the money and did not know what they were selling!

i myself do not believe anything is free.. and america is suppose to be the land of the free but we have laws and rules we must go by or we will be in trouble with the law...we may have more freedom than other countries but i do not think anything is really free, it has to be paid for somewhere along the line...

I think documentarys like Michael Moore's as well as 'Kurt and Courtney' make it perfectly clear that America is not truly the land of the free.

Yes , to apoint we are the land of the free. We can worship, who and when we want, have free speach ,to a point. I agree alot of our freedoms are being ripped from us but we still have more freedom than most other countries.

Land of the free? Whoever told you that is your enemy!

Compromise, conformity, assimilation, submission...
Ignorance, hypocrisy, brutality, the elite...
All of which are american dreams...
