As a keeper he's more or less good. As a batsman he was not consistent in the ODI series against WI. In tests also he failed to rise to the occasion. It's too early to make a comment now. Yet, he's likely to stay as he's far better than his replacement (Diensh).

Yes he has all the gits for a wicket keeper to remain in a side.
He is not the passenger of the team and I am sure that he will be the driver of team India after some seasons. He has the power that nona of the other indian wicket keepers has. He proved that he can bat agressively and also diffencively in many situations. He had recued India many times.
The only one bad point he has is that his level of wicket keeping is not to the standards of the world's leading keepers such as Adam Gilchrist and others. So he needs to develop this art well and I am sure that he can.

No. Dhoni is a universal man and if he doesn't wicketkeep than nobody can do better than him. He is a good wicket-keeper batsman.

He will stay because he is a best wicket keeper next to Dravid. I hope he will bat well in the fore coming matches.

he will stay for longer duration after all after a long duration india got a wicket keeper who has good batting skills. allthough his stile is unique but who cares as long as he is delivering runs for team.

Dhoni is ok for one days. But am not sure he is better for test than dinesh kaarthick. For test it is more importanat to keep well(i.e no missings stumings,catches).
In keeping dinesh is far better than dhoni
