My first child I found out two days before Mother's day, I waited until we had a nice dinner, and then I said something like or that is a cute baby, on TV, then I said well our baby will be much cuter....he looked at me and said WHAT BABY... like only a minute it took him to relize I just told him he was going to be a father. OUr second child was ten years later, so I told her sister first and kept it a secret with her until I had been to the doctor and had an ultrasound, because I had a miscarrigage between the girls, I wanted to make sure...she was confirmed two days before Christmas, so that year I gave my husband a X,mas card with picture of baby Jesus on it and on the inside, told him that God was granting us the asteemed honor of being parents again, he cried. I think we got the older child a bike that year. Well good luck there are better ways to drop it on someone. We have been married 28 years in December our oldest is 23 in January and our youngest is now 14 in a few days. Life has been grand, course money would have helped, grandparents would have helped. We raised them ourselves, no welfare, only hard work. Good luck

I told my husband as soon as I got a positive result... nothing romantic. How we told our parents was pretty cool...
It was X-mas eve, we had both our parents in the same room. I had given them the exact same gift... and asked them both to open them at the same time. It was a keepsake grandparents book that they would fill with memories for the baby. My in-laws already had 13 grandchildren, so they were a little late in getting the message. My mother however, knew right away and screamed with delight. Then the rest of the family cheered. I also gave my sister a bottle with a message that said: "Dear Auntie.... this is for the times you'll need to babysit me". She loved it!

When I told my husband. I had made a really nice dinner. Candles, music, fowers. And I wrote it on his napkin. He was so happy. My parents I started out by saying I have some good news, and before I could say anything else my mom jumped up and started hugging me and saying I am going to be a grandma.

It was my day off work when I took the test. I couldn't wait to tell him so I called him at work and told him. I should have waited to tell him in person because he about fainted on the phone.

A friend of mine took tweezers, removed the fortune from a fortune cookie, and then replaced it with a fortune size slip of paper that said "you are going to be a daddy!" She took her husband out to dinner at a chinese restaurant, and swapped out the cookies!
he was floored!! She said he cried, too. too sweet.

The best way is to just come out and say it. They're going to find out eventually so its better if they find out by you telling them rather than them seeing it when you start showing.
