the white parts are all still attached to the key. One side clicks in, but i've been trying for hours and can't get the other side in.

LOL! My dog jumped on my laptop and a key came out. It took me a long time to figure out how to put it back. You can figure it out too. Just take a good look at the key and the other small parts and keep trying untill you figure it out. It can be frustrating when you can't do it. But just keep trying. Pull out all the other parts(usually white plastic) if they are still attached. Then attach those white plastic parts to the key. And then attach the key back to the laptop. If you are not able to attach the key to the laptop even after trying very hard, then pull back the white parts from your key and attach them in a different position. You know what I mean?
