Love is giving of yourself for the benefit of another. Love is a "power" in action. Staying faithful in marriage is an example action...were are always doing something. Even if it's just sleeping.

Joh 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Friends can be friends, wives parents etc...I'd certainly take a bullet for my wife or kids to save their lives.

Love can never be truely defined because it's an emotion that is different for everyone. But, one thing remains the same. When you care for someone more or justy as much as your own life or you can make sound decisions about your relationship even if it means losing them to someone else, thats part of it. Love is not selfish, like the feeling some get because he or she want to spend all the time with someone becasue they think someone is going to steal them away? that is not love.

Or if you seeing him or her talking to a handsome man or women and you don't want them to look at anyon but you? that is not love. Love is secure with your partner in knowing they feel the same. For which you can talk on any level and they just :get it so".

when good things happen for them and you can put your Bs asside and be happy for them, that's love. But, it must be mutual or your wasting your time. Good Luck.

A definition doesn't really work for love. A description does much better. Here it is: Love is patient; love is kind
and envies no one.
Love is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude;
never selfish, not quick to take offense.
There is nothing love cannot face;
there is no limit to its faith,
its hope, and endurance.
In a word, there are three things
that last forever: faith, hope, and love;
but the greatest of them all is love.”

Love is sweet, love is kind. Love is life. Love is fun,and happiness. Love is not being angry all the time. When you love someone you do not lie to them. Your not suppose to tell them that you did not tell them the truth, because just don't want to hurt their feelings. Love is when you get that warm, tingly, cuddly feeling when you with them, away from them, or even on the phone with them. Love is when you miss your mate as soon as you live their side. Love is not rude, or boastful. Love can be painful, and sad. Love is unconditional. love is trust, love is forgiving. Love have good times and bad. Love is strong. Love is responsibility. Love is passionate, romantic,and friendship. If you love yourself, then you would have no problem loving someone else. You know that you are in love someone when you feel it deep down in your mind, heart, body, and soul when you find that true love. It is better to have loved and lost, than to never have love at all.

..............But remember that TRUE LOVE NEVER DIES
HAPPINESS IS AWAITING

Love is not real love without putting yourself first. Do you appreciate the things that you like in life, and understand what about them that fascinates you? Are there certain characteristics or traits that attract you to people? Are you kind to yourself, take care your body, read books? Do you enjoy learning? Everything that you find out about yourself, and things that you do like to do in life--all of these things you must share with your significant mate. And vise-versa. They have these things to share with you. That is how 2 people learn more and more about each other's likes, tastes, dislikes, feelings, what turns them on, how they think, how to communicate and compromise their differences, how to make dicisions to affect future plans, a marriage, etc. I personally favor a woman who knows how to kiss well, way above the average of other women. Kissing is something I enjoy doing, I don't care what it is. Kissing is better than talking. Kissing is one of the most effective ways to communicate. I also prefer a woman who is light-weight. I like to carry her down the isle after our marriage ceremony; therefore, I have demonstrated how loving and acknowledging ourselves, we know how to choose who is right for us. Someone compatible. That is the definition of love unplugged.
