Any one know of any other south African movies?...like Tsotsi,the film is really nice.
Just give me the name of the ones you know even if it's not similar to Tsotsi.

Hotel Rwanda was not a South African movie at all.There are lots of South African movies that do really good overseas and some that do excellent, but only in SA. Movies like the Leon Schuster comedies are loved by only South Africans but was released worldwide and did good. One of his movies even surpassed Harry Potter and some others in it's first week. (That's the South African box office.) Here are some others...

The last movie on the list is similar to "Tsotsi" and a good friend of mine (also from my hometown, Paarl) plays the lead.

The best movie I have ever seen regarding South Africa was "Hotel Rwanda".
The movie is based on the true story of Paul Rusesabagina, (a Hutu) who managed an exclusive hotel when the uprisings of murder and violence, which ended up with hundreds of thousands being slain a dozen or so years ago, began between the Hutu ant the Tutsis and it is about his efforts to save the people who came to the hotel for refuge.
I recommend this movie as "must see" to everyone I know.

Hotel Rwanda was great but just as good was Sometimes in April,also about the Hutus and Tutsis but about a family where the husband was a Hutu and the wife was a Tutsi.Also great was Yesterday about a South African woman with Aids that is stigmatized by her villiage,you can get both from theHBO.com store.

Although Hotel Rwanda was a great movie.... bottleblonde and the chick below her.. it's about RWANDA. If you just want movies about Africa - that's a good film, but I'm not sure about SA films.
