I am Australian and I find this horrible and very, very hurtful. We are one of the ost multicultural countries in the world and people think we are racist. There are racists in EVERY DAMN COUNTRY...!!! I've talked to people who say that and they all say 'Well we met this Australian and bla bla bla'. These people meet ONE Australian that says something stupid or is a racist b@stard and they think that we are ALL like that?

It makes me SO angry. By the same standards, when I went to America there was a guy in a lift insisting that I stay away from the 'filthy blacks' (I was disgusted). Does that mean that I should think that all Americans are Racist by comparison?

No i am not Aussie. I am American. I dont think ive ever even met anyone from Australia, so I couldn't say if they are racists. I would hope not, but with the world they way it is, I believe most people might have a little racism in them.

I was in Australia for several months, a few yrs ago. I didn't get that impression at all...

I am a white American male... I guess that makes me guilty by association..... I think that is such b/s!

I grew up in the housing projects outside of Cincinnati, OH. White kid in the projects! Believe me, I know what racism is! The worst racist that I have ever seen were Black Americans! Second place, in my eyes, is White/ middle class Americans. They can all go to hell if your asking me!

I love it when people try to play the "race card" with me... It gets thrown right back in their face! I have worked hard to get where I am.... Nobody is gonna make me ashamed of that!

you really need to take these kinds of things on an individual basis. there are people from every country that are racist.. and there are people in every country that are not racist...
generalisation truly does no good to anyone
