My mum's friend is a Stewardess in First Class, and did a London to America with Madonna.. Got talking to her and stuff and Madonna told said to "Call me M, all my friends do" so maybe?

As she likes the nickname her staff called her "Madge", short for "Her Majesty" (which she seems to think is a compliment, not that she is acting like a "Royal Pain In The Butt"), I would think that is what he now calls her too, at least to her face. Behind her back, I imagine he refers to her as the major investor in his film projects.
