Definitely. The NCAA overtime is great in the fact that it gives both teams a chance. With the NFL, all you have to do is get to the 30 yard line and kick a field goal and it's over, and that just isn't really fair.

The NFL overtime is perfect. It raises the stakes. Both teams had the whole game to win, but they were not able too. Sudden Death keeps the hype of the game constant. If you lose the coin toss and the other team marches down the field and scores, it is the teams fault that they could not stop the other team. Defense is half the game too. College football doesn't give the defense a fair share since the offense starts so close to the goal line. College overtime is geared towards the offense. If you like that, fine, but I like a game to be more even.

Sudden Death Overtime makes the defense work harder for a win, in college they know that they will have a second chance when there team gets the ball. As the NFL playoffs show, the NFL doesn't believe in second chances.

"Sudden death" in football is pathetic, and the NCAA's baseball-OT clone is just as bad.

The NFL should do it like the NBA does: 15 minutes of straight time.

When you know you have time to recover from a mistake, you're more willing to take chances. It also means a better chance of a game being won on a touchdown as opposed to a field goal.
