The thing that I do that is selfless is to work with abused children. I walk into court with them and listen to the graphic testimony that small children give. These little ones (mostly younger than 8) should not know about sex...even in the slightest. When they have to face the perp in court, my group is there with them, and instead of being scared of the perp, the child can look at us and feel empowered. They walk in with some big, bad, scruffy bikers, they feel safe. Camping out in the child's yard is something that we also do...not as comfy as my bed, but being there to help the child feel safe is worth every last chiropractic treatment I would need.

It will take at least 10000 computer hours and endless pages to write about what selfless things I have done. So, I am sorry I am unable to give you the list in the yahoo answer session.

I've given my last ciggarette to a stranger.I always give money to
strangers.I've given food & clothes to the needy.I've worked in
City Missions & commiserated with those less fortunate.I've given concert tickets to someone else when I desperately wanted to go. I've loaned 1 of my cars out indefinately.
You want the top thing & I'm not sure I've ever done it. I like to
help others.

I once diverted 400 miles for a hitchhiker (a nasty-smelling dude who was really down on his luck) just to get him home. I was late getting home myself, and spend an extra $50 in fuel, but I did it because no one else was going to give this animal a ride.
Sometimes, doing the right thing is neither pleasant nor easy.

I became a carer for my boyfriend after he was left disabled in an accident before Christmas.
He is slowly getting better and I'm so happy for him and so happy that I can help him.

many things. but once i fell down a flight of stairs with my three year old nephew in my arms, proceeding to fall the whole flight instead of saving myself by grabbing the banister, b/c i knew i'd lose him if i did. i got hurt, but he was okay. i put my hand to the back of his head and then held him really close to me. he didn't even hit the ground. *sigh of relief*
