My brother is a certified genius. He's a super whiz with computers and math. However, we have always joked about him - that he may be a genius, but he has no common sense. He is barely incapable of having a conversation that is about life, fun, or funny things.

A person can have book smarts, know everything there is about anything in the world...

But - when it comes to life - and fun, they can be under par. This is because they spent too much of their life learning, than learning about how to have fun.

I am also highly intelligent. Our parents made the rest of us kids take those tests. Most of ours came up highly intelligent, I was one of them. But instead of devoting my life to books and knowledge, I learned the things that were most important to me. Having fun, learning what makes life - LIFE. Love, and loving my children.

So I won't be known as the smartest person anyone knew. People will never comment about how I can do math in my head. I have many friends who are highly intelligent, and I have wonderful conversations with them. But, people do say that I'm fun to be around, always know what flavor of beer is good, and I do have some of the funniest stories known.

Thanks for reminding me that I'm so glad I'm me.
