...it's not a test, its a great song... just a touch of 'empathy' gave birth to myself asking the question.

oh please... stick to the confines of the question! I know God is OMNIPOTENT!!! i'm just trying to think how easy/hard it would be for God... if God (not god) was just a person like one of us... other than the knowledge of himself being God. Are we there yet???

Good answer benny_bull_frog... he'd probably learn quite quickly to tell no one who he believes he is.

Please remember... this question is in the category of Philosophy! I would just like to know what you would ask of 'him' to prove that 'he' is the first & last true GOD if 'he' was just like one of us... you know... 'he' would still know what 'he' knows (having learned) just like we do. Perhaps there is not a question that could be asked to prove it... thats what i'm trying to find out??? but if there is... I would like to know it.

Aren't those lyrics to Joan Osborne's song back in the mid '90's?
Anyway, I can't truly answer this question the way you have it phrased... trying to make his way home...? God is omni present, and doesn't need to make His way anywhere.
However, I will say what I would need for proof that He is the One True God.
Nothing. God has already proved Himself real to me. Over and over and over again. I'll give you one such instance.
Before I ever even cared if God existed, I was an alcoholic. I got fired from my job and kicked out all in the same day (that was a bad day). I was seeing a social worker, psychologist, and psychiatrist. I was on a few different meds (lithium being one of them). I was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, and Bi-Polar. Combine that with an angry drunk and you have a recipe for disaster.
Well, one day my social worker said that she had no idea what to do with me. That I was a danger to myself and others and that I had to go to the psych hospital. I was to check in the next day at 8 AM.
God in His amazing power had other plans. The night before God showed up. I don't know how to describe it, but God showed up. He healed my mind, my emotions, and my body. I went off my medication (I'm not suggesting that this is right for all people, or that anyone does that without doctor consultation). It has been 6 and a half years since that day when God proved Himself to me. I am completely sane, healthy, I went to college (graduated with honors, I have a great job, and life. These are things that only through God's power and grace, that I have.
So no, He doesn't need to prove Himself to me again, for He already has.

If you don't see any proof of God, then you need to open your eyes. Because you can't see Carbon Dioxide, does not mean it doesn't exist. Because you can't see wind, does not mean it doesn't exist. Because you can't see God, does NOT mean He doesn't exist. There IS proof of God, it is the Creation around you. Look around and you will find proof. You really think that DNA could form out of chance? You really think that the brain you think with could be formed by chance? You really think that galaxies could be formed out of chance? Whether creation or evolution, something always had to be existing. While you say "Who created God?", another question is also important. " Who created the chemicals that started evolution?" "Who created the energy, which supposedly according to evolutionists, existed?" "Who created the explosion/Big Bang?" If you can answer these questions, then I can answer your question "Who created God?" Where is your evidence of evolution? I don't think there is any. Evidence of God is everywhere. From the beautiful Sunset to the Sunrise, from the beautiful varieties of birds to the fish. From the very breath you breathe to every heartbeat, from the process of a seed to the solor system. The world and universe are too perfect to be chance. Just like you can feel wind, you can feel God. You just have to be in the right frame of mind, and be in the right religion and church. I know there is a God because of experience, you can't disprove experience. Until you have been through this kind of awesome experience, don't tell me there is not any kind of evidence of God. The Apostolic EXPERIENCE is the ULTIMATE PROOF. (God did come down to earth, problem is, the Jews crucified Him. He died because of the Love for the world. The Jews are still looking for Him. They didn't even recognize He was here.) (If God did come down today, and showed all of His power, why do you think people would start worshipping Him? It would probably be because of His Power, probably some out of fear. God didn't want people to worship Him out of fear, but out of love. Also, if He did come to earth, the whole world would worship Him, with no true commitment. If the world rejected Him 2,000 years ago, why would today be any different?)

Well first I would ask him to introduce me to Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny. Then after establishing that HE DOES NOT AND COULD NOT EXIST and is in fact simply a manifestation of all that is wrong with mankind, one in a long line of cultural symbols representing our vanity, arrogance and fear off mortality and the absurdity of our self awareness, i would KICK "HIM" IN THE NUTS!

No, I wouldn't. Because we meet up with divine everyday we just refuse to see it. There is a spark of that God presence in everyone. So we have already met up with him on the way back home, we just didn't didn't accept it.

If he was one of us, just like us, he wouldn't be God. God can snap his fingers and go back home if he See's fit. If he is just in our form for a time being, checking us out, I guess I would ask to see his scares.
