hard to become much better than he already was, but yes, he would have compiled even more remarkable stats. in 1927, lou drove in 175 runs, batting cleanup for the powerful yankees. what made this truly unbelievable was that babe ruth batted 3rd that year and all he did was hit 60 homers. this meant that for 60 of lou's at bats, the bases were empty, and he still drove in a mind-boggling 175 runs! amazing!
