Finding people who want to be guinea pigs &/or finding enough people so you can have a reasonable number of just the right kind of people for a control group.

Finding up-to-date material to make your research relevant.

Being completely objective & unbiased.

Finding correct ways to measure outcomes & evaluate research.

There are several, but notably there is bias, which is what humans do naturally and there is no way to remove it completely from research.

You can only ever sample stuff, like you can only ask a selection of people your questions, not everyone in the whole world.

That's a start.
