Someone else already posted a link for La Leche League. Please call the Leader in your area and see if you can meet with her. She will help you for FREE...maybe even come to your home. Breastfeeding should NOT hurt. You are probably having some latch problems and someone needs to actually watch you and baby to see what is going on.
You could also search for a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) but she will most likely charge for her services.
Make sure that you are supporting your baby's head. Baby should be tummy to tummy with you. Wait for baby to open up WIDE like a baby bird waiting for a worm and then pull baby in to your breast. Make sure baby takes not just the nipple, but a good bit of breast tissue into his mouth. If you are nursing with the baby in the traditional "cradle position" (think Madonna and child) then you'll want to use the opposite hand in a "U" shape from under the breast to help compress the breast tissue when latching the baby on. This will help him latch more deeply. Think about squashing down a big sandwich to fit it into your mouth...make sure you are aligning the breast with the baby's mouth properly, just like you wouldn't hold a sandwich sideways to take a bite.
You should NOT be washing your nipples. You are washing away the natural lubricants that your breast have that keep them clean and keep them from drying out. That could be contributing to your discomfort. STOP washing your nipples. It's not necessary and may be contributing to your problems.

Dont wash your nipples EVER!!! Just rinse with water. The soap will dry them out and make you sore and your skin cracked. Also, your baby may have some trouble with his/her latch. You need to go to a lactation consultant right away so it doesnt get worse. It should not be painful to nurse your baby. Your hospital will offer free appt's with lactation consultants. Call them and ask for an appt. Good luck!

probabl;y because your hubby takes most of the milk and don't give the glands its chance to create, then your baby is sucking harder to get a few some. try to forget your hubby's feeding for a few days and let your baby grow.
the best position is to take the baby between ur arms and give him your breast, if it got painful, switch to the other braest, moms milk makes babies smarter, wash your nipples carefully with warm water and dry them before handling them to the baby., also massage them before handling them to the baby.

OUCH!! Stop washing your nipples "well"--it is *not* good at all!!
You need to see an expert. Call a local La Leche League Leader for help with breastfeeding. Her help is *free*, and she can help you learn how to hold the baby correctly for nursing.

Tell your hubby to leave you alone. The milk is for his baby not him.
If he wants milk, tell him to get it out of the fridge, not you.
