Anybody tell me about the American culture?

I am Indian .I want to know about the culture of amarica. means what we see in TV show like friends, desprate house wifes, etc people meet someone slept and forget. Are all most of american beleave in one night stand. And most of people are left there parent house in there old age when they need them most.Children start kissing each other in the primary school.and doing first sex in high school.
This all is not my own personal though this all we saw on movies and TV shows.It is true. If not then what is the truth.

Well no kids don't start kissing at such a low age but what's wrong with sex in high school? You know it may be that it's just different in India but in Eurpe we have sex that early too but of course most of the stuff shown on TV is only TV and fictional. Desperate Housewives is a bit extreme with so many murderers running around and so on. Friends kind of reflect america though although you shouldn't fixate yourself on Joey jumping from bed to bed all that much.

TV shows a warped perception of real life. Unfortunately my life has been more dramatic than any US TV show you have ever watched. It all dependes on individual circumstance. My life story would make at least 50 TV shows and/or movies that could only be shown on cable. You would never believe everything I have been through. Yet I know many Americans that have very simple easy lives. Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.

Of course, there is a grain of truth in these things, but don't expect the movies or TV to show the good girls holding onto virginity, faithful wives and husbands. In the past, they did show some happy families. You are seeing the seamier side of American life because it is more dramatic than the majority of boys and girls and men and women.
