I am doing a paper on teens, sex, and teen pregnancy. My hypothisis is that teens with out adiquate support and information about the risks of sex are least likely to use protection.
Serious answers please. Thank you

When I was a teenager I could talk to my mother the most about things like that. She was and is very understanding in matters like that and I thinkn all mothers and fathers should be. I would help their children to understand more about sex and stds.

My old health teacher.
She's probably 40-something but she understands teenagers more than any adult I've ever met.
I was crying and stressed at school once at lunch (the main reason was because I cut class)
I told her everything and she didn't judge me. She understood and always had the right thing to say.

It seems to me that I would rather talk to a complete stranger (with no eye contact whatsoever) or my mother about such issues. I do seem to see that fathers are a little less worried about you being embarrassed and therefore aren't GREAT candidates for talking about such things. My mother is good to talking about that stuff because she (like many other moms) is aware of how you are feeling constantly and knows your personality well enough to answer questions in a comforting and not embarrassing way. Strangers I would talk to because the probability of me ever meeting them again in my life-time and because I am not worried about how they think about me.
