With odd little quirks such as human traffining, sexual depravity, and the funny little habit of commiting horrific acts of violence in the name of a 'noble' cause (all whil enjoying long walks on the beach), is mankind just misunderstood, or do we deserve to be wiped out by the fruits of our own folly (as seems to be happening with this whole Global Warming problem)?

We saved the world from waves of Nazi stormtroopers, from hordes of Red Communists, and from the very ugly, unfriendly aliens in "Independence Day." we can also save it from a few kazillion tiny greenhouse gas molecules! Surely we can save the world from the human race.

We keep building the tower of babel. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but we've had some great GOODs, and some great EVILs.

The rest of us are simply "lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year. Running over the same old ground, what have we found...?"

We be lost. We constantly need some great tragedy to shake us out of our own self-absorption. And that shot-in-the-arm will last perhaps a few months before it fizzles out and we go back to our pathetic little lives. It's a wonder we've not yet completely destroyed ourselves.

But it'll at least make a good movie - The Human Race, coming soon to a theatre near you, don't miss it. A comedy...?

Left to our own devices, without Divine Intervention? I'd say about a 4. Maybe a 4.5. We just weren't designed to have the knowledge that we have, so we are overwhelmed by it, and do not know how to use it wisely.

We are quite a lot like a fungus. A mold or a bacterial infection. We grow around the edges of the land where it touches the water. We produce toxins and foul by-products, producing a stench, just like flesh that has become necrotic with infection. We are destructive. We scar and destroy the places that we settle into. We grow and spread, making the whole planet sicker for us being here.

We have our redeeming qualities. We have unbelievable potential. The trouble is we lack guidance and wisdom. This is why we are supposed to rely on God's Wisdom to give us direction in our lives and our dealings with one another.

Sorry, I don't have enough experience with the race as a whole to presume I can make a blanket statement in regards to it's success or failure. I agree with you that there have been some major atrocities committed. I guess the closest I can come to answering your question (especially the last part of being wiped out) is to agree with someone who said, "the human race began with an act of rebellion, and it is highly likely to end with the same."

I believe man will pay the ultimate price by neglecting what God has so gratuitously given us. We neglect our earth and nature like it doesn't have to be taken care of. We neglect each other, like we are the only ones that matter. No I think we are doing a pretty good job of wiping ourselves off the face of the earth and taking everything and each other with us. Although there are loving and kind people on earth that want and love to take care of our world, the numbers that just don't care way out number the ones who do.

Human Race is advancing to most modern technology without humanity and having races. We, humans have the power to protect our Earth. Instead of that , if we are sleeping above the Nuclear Arms which is to destroy our beautiful blue Earth, how can we rate the human race other than "the worst".

What race are we comparing it to?
It may be that we are the coolest people in the galaxy... or the skankiest. Only time will tell.

I'd have to say we are a sad lot. Everyone needs to go to their own corners and think about what we are doing to ourselves.
