firefox and opera are both quite fast and much better than IE6.
i prefer firefox because of the large no. of extensions, addons and themes available for it.u can greatly enhance ur browsing experience by installing the following
extensions:
customize google
clourful tabs
tabmix plus
mcafee security advisor
yahoo toolbar for firefox
ie tab
adblock
duplicate tab
scrapbook

I finally fired Internet Explorer Beta 3 because it takes too long to boot up...the security features apparently have gotten completely out of control.
I've been using Firefox for a week now with nary a problem. I'm sold.

firefox by far for security reasons many websites can exploit internet explorer while it hardly happens in firefox.

firefox. but firefox on linux, sadly, cant play certain windows media files because there is no available windows media plugin for firefox in linux
