Heartburn is to much acid in your stomach and/or esophagus I have found just chewing a stick of gum helps almost every time. You have special glands in your mouth that work only when you chew and this special "spit" has a high content of some kind of base and it acts a just like baking soda and vinegar without the fizz. So less acid...less heartburn. But be careful I had a ulcer that started to bleed, I spent 2 weeks laying in a hospital bed, so if you problem doesn't go away or happens "all the time" please go see a Doctor
