"shees da vidi (or veedee) boot". She was German. It means something about a little boat. Also my father used to use a pseudo curse: "Dag Nabbit". Does anyone know the origin of one or both of these phrases?
Thanks

It's words probably made up, that when spoken sound like cursing, but actually is not.

I say these phrases instead of cursing...Dod Gammit, Futha Mucker, or Bun of a Sitch. The first letters are rearranged.

I don't know the orgin, but it's a kinda fresh and clean way of expression.
