He can't come in until somebody invites him in. After he gets invited he can come and go as he pleases. I suggest you tell him that no you do not want to buy any vacuum cleaners or encyclopedias and go bugger off.

Invite him in and offer him a drink. Vampires are not particular, just offer him your neck. You don't even need to wash it or give him a glass to drink from.
