in case you seem at action picture stars in the 30's and 40's lots of them have been very skinny. so some distance as being a length 12 (seen perfect for the WWII technology), a length 12 now no longer suits the comparable physique that it did back then. i'm seventy one and that i will nevertheless positioned on my wedding ceremony dress and a few brides maid outfits albeit they seem to be a sprint tight. They have been length 5's. For years I wore a length 4. Now, even nonetheless I weigh approximately 10 lbs better than I used to I positioned on a length 2 or 0 or possibly a 00. while i became right into a toddler 12 became into universal, 10 became into small and and eight became into so small it became into problematic to locate one. human beings are transforming into better via fact the 50's, however the sizes have adjusted downward to flatter woman conceitedness.

I already answered this on yahoo, but again: because Andy Warhol made her face into wallpaper, and because she died so young (in her 30's). The fact of the matter is, that she was a terrible actress and was not respected by other actors. They viewed her as a glorified whore. She was a sad individual, her beauty was fading and she suffered from mental illness. But, alas, the public loves to glorify celebrities. To make them into that which they were not.
Also, people love to say that she was a size 14. I hate this misconception,as she was, by no means, over-weight. If you look at old dress patterns, 14 was a heck of a lot smaller than it is today. Just another way of advertisers to appeal to women's weight anxiety.

She wasn't the first platinum blonde, and hers weren't the first medium curly hair cuts. But Marilyn Monroe's impact on hair style was immense, and it continues to this day.
Marilyn Monroe had fine, wavy hair which she bleached to a white or platinum blonde. This colour had been immortalised by 1930's screen actress Jean Harlow, whose hair eventually fell out because of it.
But in Marilyn's grim, unhappy childhood and adolescence Jean Harlow was her idol, and she is the unmistakable inspiration for the iconic Monroe hair style.

WHY IS anyone who passed all those years ago still famous? People just wont let it go and they wont let them rest in peace. I mean I like Elvis Music as much as the next person can but let the man rest and leave his family alone. So thats why She was the IT girl all those years ago and people look up to that and wont let her rest..

Women wanted to mother her or be her friend. Men wanted to marry her or make love to her. She was an extremely talented and beautiful woman.

She's a legend...she died young so the world never had to watch her get old...
I dont know much about her really, but she was beaitful, talented and just had that "special thing" that some people have...every man wanted to know her and every woman wanted to be her (in her era of course)

Her movies were wonderful and she was a one of a kind person. She seem to be always so sweet. And she had curves and not a stick like some movie stars of today.
