Judaism, Christianity and Islam all believe that "there is only one god" Most other religions say that there are multiple gods withj a couple that say there aren't any.

Well, it all depends on your definition and perception. Some people considers anything supernatural as "god", and if that is your case there can be millions of them. But if what you meant is something that is generally agreed and accepted by most to qualify (those qualifications being One who is omnipresent, omniscience, omnipotent and all - compassionate) as a definition of GOD then there can only be one. The problem is when people start having the idea of MY(???) GOD as oppose to YOUR(???) GOD the result is disastrous as these people, after having their One God thinks that fighting for their One GOD against all the other person's GOD is a good thing. I find it unbelievable how some of this so-called "holy" men can even claimed GOD as their own; can they be that conceited and vain to the extent that they can possess GOD?? It is all wrong. It is these people who has the problem, not GOD. It is this misunderstanding that is the root to all the religious problems today.

For example Hinduism is a monotheistic religion. It has only one GOD represented by a Holy Trinity as the all powerful being (familiar??). But mankind through the years started turning it into a many gods' religion. In some literature you can read it as having some 33 million gods. This is all wrong; the Hindus still believe in the one GOD. HE may have many different manifestations but he is ONE. Read the Bhagavad Gita - how different is it really from that of the Sermon on the Mount (or from that of Buddha's first sermon in the Deer Park). There is always only ONE. The Mahayana Buddhist has the same idea of a single Supreme Being - all powerful, all knowing, ever present and compassionate, represented again by a Holy Trinity (familiar??). Same with the Taoist (also a holy Trinity (again familiar???)) The problem is never with the religion and GOD. It is always us. So by all means worship who you please as your ONE GOD and in the way that you think is best. You will not be wrong but do not wronged GOD or others by insisting that only your way of worship and your (?????) GOD is the right one

I strongly belive that is only one god. But depending on people religion it is named Jesus, Budda, Mahomed etc. Whenever it is a single biggest power which cannot be touched by our fingers but our souls and mind. It is interesting what is written on this subject but the conclusion is only one: a power exist and decides about our destiny more than ourselves.
