Failure is not reaching your goal, but having no goal to reach.

Improvise, adapt, overcome.

Fear stems from that which we don't understand. Research your fears, be honest with yourself, revel in your new found knowledge and move on with your life.

A lack of self confidence usually stems from a lack of knowledge and experience. A lack of knowledge and experience usually stems from a fear of failure and embarrassment. One must first get over oneself before being able to get through the challenges that lay before you.

Confidence which is not tempered by humility is just *********.

Remember your roots and be true to yourself.

I hope that this was of help to you. Good luck in all of your future endeavor's!

A book by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale: "The Power of Positive Thinking."
A book by John F. Kennedy: "Profiles in Courage."
Depending on where you live, there may be a Dale Carnegie course you can take. Check yellow pages or do an internet search.
Look for a part time or temporary job you can do where you have to deal with people on a regular basis, like cashier at a clothing store.

Olympiad?

You'd better really motivate yourself.

There were 861,000sites offering various aspects of Motivational Therapy at http://www.google.co.in/search?hl=en&q=Online+motivational+therapy&btnG=Search&meta=

The second one in the links given below has a lady who's a professional online therapist.

You might find this the best bet, even though you might need to ask your parents to spend some mopney for this.

All the very Best!

Just keep telling yourself that you are the WINNER!

Don't give up!

There are three things that I can tell you to get your self-confidence right (well, I need to just tell but you gotta do it mate)
1. There is no permanent mental deficiency in all of us. We have as much brain power as much as make use of. So if you are all set on to accomplish your goals, make up you mind that you are going to do it no matter what.
2. Stay focused and determined all the times. More determined you are, more problems you are going to see that will try to make you believe that you can't accmplish what you want to. Laugh them out and keep your focus steady.
3. Hard and simple are very relative stuff. What is hard for you today can be simple tomorrow. Today its hard because you have not prepared yourself for it. There are much much larger problems people have solved in life. What you see as problem ahead of you is insignificant as compared to what you will deal with in life. So convince yourself that this stuff is not hard.

I have done it myself so many times in my life and accomlished things that I thought I will never be able to do. Personally when I think of such hardship, I simply tell myself that one day I will die and I will not have anything left that I can do in this world and there is no greater fear than that for a human being. So till I'm alive, I'm not going to be afraid of anything and not going to waste my time thinking that I can't do this or I can't do that.

Try this. I'm sure it will be helpful.

The world isn't over when you failed, and failure is no big deal. There are so many things in the world to pursue. Take it easy, you can do it.
