Way back in '75, I went to see Elton John at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. I got there the night before the concert, so I could get right up front - or so I THOUGHT! It seems, 20 or 30 thousand OTHER people had the same idea....

Around 3 a.m., I climbed over a huge barbed wire fence that must have been 7 ft. high, to get in the main parking lot. In the process, I fell into some dirty ditches, and then ripped my jeans up on the barbed wire. Once inside, I had to hide behind huge trash containers, underneath cars, and wherever else I could find to keep from getting caught by security. After eluding everyone for at least a couple of hours, I finally found my way under the stage.

Eventually, I was spotted by Elton's tour manager. He wanted to know HOW THE HELL did I EVER get past all that security! I told him it wasn't easy. It was freezing cold, and he was very kind. I got coffee & donuts, a jacket to put on, and even a little trailer to hang out in till the concert started that afternoon! It was quite an experience (I STILL have my un-used concert ticket intact) - but unfortunately, I never DID get to meet Elton personally, even after all my drastic efforts!

True story!!!
